Axel Lowe

A 25-year veteran of Atlanta radio, Axel helped define Alternative Rock and a generation at 99X and Rock 100.5. Axel’s rapport with listeners and artists has helped him build a rock solid reputation in the market place.

He began his career in the music industry with Arista Records. After working at Arista, Axel transitioned into radio. He was with 99X since its inception and moved over to sister station Rock 100.5 when it went on the air in January of 2008.

Axel has been one of the most recognizable and longest lasting voices on Atlanta radio for close to two​ decades. He also hosted home improvement show Southern Home By Design, which was seen all over the Southeast on Turner South from 2002-2005 (130 episodes).

Axel is a graduate of the College of Dupage and has a degree in music business management from the Art Institute of Atlanta. He’s a proud family-man with wife Kellye and daughters Ava and Vivian. Axel is a fan of spicy food, cold beer bottles, riding his Harley Davidson and music. The last “like” should go without saying.
